Today was an exceptional day for the Hôpital de Saint-Eustache and its Fondation, as Mr. Bart Bosmans, General Manager of PACCAR of Canada Ltd., generously donated $100,000. The Fondation matched this donation with an investment of $115,000, which allowed for the purchase of a Fibroscan for the Internal Medicine Ambulatory Clinic.

This acquisition will provide better follow-up care for patients with liver disease and allow for service three times faster in our region. The Fibroscan is a medical examination device that uses ultrasound frequencies to evaluate the elasticity of the liver, allowing doctors to determine if it is fibrotic or not.

The Fondation Hôpital Saint-Eustache’s Executive Director, Lyne Des Trois Maisons, expressed her excitement about PACCAR’s contribution. The Fibroscan was ordered in 2022 and delivered in 2023. This device was highly anticipated by the staff at the gastroenterology department of the Hôpital de Saint-Eustache. We would like to highlight that PACCAR of Canada Ltd. has donated $326,283 since the Fondation’s inception in 1986 and we are extremely grateful for their continued support.

Thanks to donors like PACCAR, the residents of the Lower Laurentians will now have access to this vital service.

We extend our gratitude to PACCAR of Canada Ltd. for their generous donation!
