On September 2, the 31st Fondation Hôpital Saint-Eustache (FHSE) Golf Master took place at the prestigious Le Mirage Golf Club. Thanks to the outstanding support of our partners, players, and volunteers, the event raised a net total of $84,137.99—remarkable, especially since we did not host virtual or live auctions this year. The funds will directly enhance local healthcare services for residents of the Lower Laurentians and help purchase advanced medical equipment for Saint-Eustache Hospital.

The tournament, hosted by the National Bank for the fifth year in a row, was a huge success! This annual fundraising event saw 142 golfers from the Lower Laurentians business community participate under the theme: “New formula, same cause, same fun!” Participants enjoyed a sunny day on the Carolina course, where they could enjoy snacks and refreshments at kiosks operated by our partners and volunteers. The event concluded with a cocktail and a gourmet buffet dinner, which was a new, much-loved addition this year.

Lyne Des Trois Maisons, the Fondation’s Executive Director, was eager to emphasize the extraordinary engagement of the whole community:

‘‘Thanks to the support of our partners, volunteers, and participants, we are able to hold a golf tournament each year that truly helps patients and their families. With this 31st edition, we chose to focus on what makes the Golf Master unique: the joy of playing and uniting for a good cause. We expected that eliminating some activities, such as auctions, would lead to a small decrease in revenue. Nevertheless, we think that highlighting the on-course experience results in a simpler and more friendly event, while still supporting our Fondation. Furthermore, this streamlined format boosts our team’s productivity, allowing us to dedicate more time to other projects. This change reaffirms the strength of our network and the importance of coming together for the health of our community.’’

The Fondation sincerely thanks its organizing committee—Michel Binette, Stéphanie Boisvert, Dominic Bouchard, Dr Guillaume Dumais, Massoud El Baini, Julie Hébert, Philippe Henri, Rumila Gobin, Vincent Lachapelle, and Marc-Antoine Synnott-Desrosiers—and all volunteers. Their dedicated efforts contributed significantly to the success of this edition!

Thank you also to the dignitaries who attended to support the event and reaffirm the importance of collective investment in the health of the Lower Laurentians’s population.

We are pleased to announce Georges Pothier’s return as the evening’s host, once again providing fun and friendly entertainment for all attendees. During the event, he recalled the charity trip to Crete last June, which he joined to support Fondation. Sixteen walkers participated in the trip, collectively raising $33,038.25 to purchase a microscope for the Hematology-Oncology Department at Saint-Eustache Hospital.
