The 30th edition of the Fondation Hôpital Saint-Eustache (FHSE) Golf Master, held on Tuesday, September 3rd, at the prestigious Le Mirage Golf Club, raised net proceeds of $103,742.

Donations collected during the event will help the FHSE improve local healthcare in the Lower Laurentians and to acquire state-of-the-art equipment for the Hôpital de Saint-Eustache.

The tournament, presented by National Bank, was once again a great success this year. A total of 160 golfers from the Lower Laurentians business community took part in the Fondation’s most important fundraising event, under the theme: “bring your ‘A’ game for the 30th! “. Participants experienced a beautiful sunny day on the Carolina course and enjoyed great food and refreshments on each of the 18 holes thanks to the generosity of our partners! This golf day ended with a cocktail hour on the terrace, a lovely dinner, and both silent and live auctions.

The event’s host, Georges Pothier, didn’t hesitate to get involved in the 30th anniversary celebrations: “The Fondation approached me and as a new resident of the area serviced by the Hôpital de Saint-Eustache, the cause resonated with me considering that I may become a patient myself at this hospital. Like everything else in Quebec’s healthcare system, we need support and funds to improve the care offered in the region, and the Golf Master does just that.” General Manager Lyne Des Trois Maisons was visibly moved by the amount raised, by the turnout and by the involvement of the many volunteers. She said: “The business community has been supporting and backing us for many years, and we’re seeing it again today with the generosity of participants, partners and volunteers at this 30th edition of the Golf Master. Thank you, 103,742 times! I want to express my gratitude to the organizing committee, which included myself, Michel Binette, Stéphanie Boisvert, Dominic Bouchard, Julie Brochu, Nicolas Fortin, Julie Hébert, and Marc-Antoine Synnott-Desrosiers, all of whom are members of the Fondation’s Board of Directors. The committee also included the Fondation’s permanent team and volunteers: Rachelle Brunet, Raymonde Bélisle and Anne-Marie Duval. A heartfelt thank you to every one of you for your invaluable involvement! “
