This Wednesday, the 6th edition of the Surf and Turf Dinnerwas officially launched. The event will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 6 p.m., at the Centre culturel et communautaire Thérèse-De Blainville located at 120, boul. du Séminaire in Sainte-Thérèse.
This fundraising evening in support of the Fondation Hôpital Saint-Eustache (FHSE) aims to be a festive gathering that will allow businesses and residents of the Lower Laurentians region to come together and brainstorm over a delicious buffet of beef and lobster!
The press conference, held at Desjardins, our Presenting Partner for the 6th edition of the Surf and Turf Dinner, attracted around twenty attendees. Several dignitaries were present, including one of the event’s honorary co-presidents, Christine Beaudette, Mayor of Boisbriand. She also spoke on behalf of the other co-president, Julie Boivin, Mayor of Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, who was absent due to exceptional circumstances. Mrs. Beaudette addressed the guests and emphasized their commitment to the Fondation.
Supporting the Health of Our Community
“I was born at the Hôpital de Saint-Eustache, so getting involved with the Foundation and sponsoring this benefit dinner is a real honour for Julie and me! This year, in addition to our roles as co-presidents, we’re taking on an exciting new fundraising challenge: if we reach $3,000 in donations, we’ll wear a sumo costume on the night of the event! Every donation counts, and all you have to do is to contribute. Thank you in advance for your invaluable support of the Fondation!” — Christine Beaudette, Mayor of Boisbriand.
Jade Éthier Bélec, Communications and Events Advisor for the Fondation, emphasized the importance of fundraising events like the Surf and Turf Dinner: “Thanks to the funds raised, the Fondation can help the hospital acquire state-of-the-art equipment and enhance local care for the residents of the Lower Laurentians. The Nuclear Medicine Centre, inaugurated in January, is a prime example of what we can achieve together. The Fondation is proud to have contributed $1 million toward the purchase of the gamma camera and its Hermès computer system.”
Afterward, Mrs. Annie Rocheleau, Market Development Director at Desjardins, Caisse de Saint-Eustache—Deux-Montagnes, took the floor on behalf of Desjardins Laurentides Sud, stating, “Desjardins is very proud to once again act as the Presenting Partner of the 6th edition of the Surf and Turf Dinner. Together, we will continue to work toward a future where everyone has access to quality healthcare, contribute to medical innovation at our hospital, and allow those in need to receive the care their require close to home and near their family. Thank you for your involvement, and I look forward to seeing you on May 22.”
A Feast for a Great Cause
Mr. Pierre Mayer, President of the Board of Directors of FHSE, highlighted that for $300 per ticket, guests will be treated to cocktails, clam chowder, a cold and hot buffet, an all-you-can-eat lobster and beef meal, a variety of sushi dishes, a selection of wines, desserts, and coffee. By participating, guests will spend an unforgettable evening in support of a great cause while experiencing a unique dining experience.
